Summary of this Oral Presentation: This study presents a a biomedical engineering perspective to anatomical template-based patient selection for a specific surgical procedure (in this example, transannular patching of the right ventricular outlflow tract and left pulmonary artery stenosis) based on patient-specific 3D anatomical reconstruction from computed tomography (CT) imaging, followed by computational fluid dynamics modeling of patient-specific pressure gradients across the pulmonary arteries to forecast likely post-operative outcomes (in terms of pressure gradients) at each stage of the chosen corrective surgical procedure.
