    Job title:  Research Programmer for The MeDCaVE lab.
    Supervisor: Prahlad G Menon, PhD

    Project tasks: 
    -  C++/ITK/VTK Programming requiring a QT graphical user interface (GUI).  
    -  Translation / interpretation of Matlab code.

    Description:
    Seeking an excellent C++/ITK/VTK programmers to design and implement an image-processing pipeline for medical image reconstruction and visualization with rendering, controlled via a GUI. 

    Prerequisites:
    -- Experience programming with ITK / VTK and visualization with Paraview.
    -- Excellent software engineering and design skills.
    -- We don't just need an algorithm hacked out, but require developing from existing code, redesigned and implemented at a professional level (i.e. clean, verifiably correct, maintainable code.)
    -- Experience with cmake, makefiles as well as packaging and distribution of code.
    -- Ability to grasp image processing algorithms implement them for the purpose of real-time visualization.
    -- Good time management skills
    -- Conversational English language proficiency required i.e. reading, writing and speaking.

    Experience in these areas will also be helpful:
    -- scientific programming
    -- Matlab image processing
    -- medical imaging applications
    -- multi-threaded parallel programming
    -- engineering/mathematics
    -- software design
